Pop Pop's 88th - Chapter 2, Silly hats are worn
William was laughing at the silly hat people... until he, too, was prevailed upon to wear one. At which time he acquiesced with reasonably good humor.

William meets his great-grandfather
Last week, William and mom traveled across the country to go see Will's great grandfather, Pop Pop, in Bethlehem, PA.
Traveling was a challenge (especially the way out, which involved a window seat, a giant German in the middle seat, a lack of changing tables in the bathroom, breastfeeding in the lavatory, a giant poop, and a meltdown during the fight attendant's safety demonstration) but more than worth it to allow these two kindred souls to meet!
Will arrived at Pop Pop's room in sleeping format...

But was soon strategically awakened by Gram, who removed articles of Will's clothing until his eyes opened and he leaped into Pop Pop's arms (well, with a bit of help).

This photo is a bit blurry but is my favorite - perhaps Uncle Toby can help? :-)
Pop and Will got along famously, immediately.

A close inspection by Pop Pop...
A high five...

William listens attentively...

Pop Pop listens attentively...
The deal is completed... lifelong friends.

More photos to come of Pop Pop's 88th birthday and Will's meeting of the minds with Eloise, our adopted grandmother and kind hostess for our Bethlehem visit!

Halloween - various photos
The Krausmoores, in the lesser known medium of pumpkin.
The pig also insisted on participating, as he does every Halloween.

Mom puts Will's bee suit on early in the day, when he is still in a good mood, just to test it out. It's a hit!!

Flying bee! (medical students note: this is the Moro reflex in action).

Mom can't resist the "naked baby" photo opportunity after removal of the bee costume...

In the evening, Will's mood is a bit more sour... can it be because the peapod costume is not quite as cool as the bee costume? Or maybe because trick or treating is scheduled for Will's usual Personal Fussy Time (PFT)?

In a fit of pique, Will rips the peas off his peapod costume (Dad's favorite)!

So, it was back to bee format for Will.
William was not thrilled about the bee costume either, and had to be placated with the closest available pacifier, which was slightly unfortunately a pepto-bismol pink hue, and is included in the subsequent photo op with pals...

Here we have three other pals who, with William, form the July Baby Alliance. From left to right, Bee Luke, Bee William, Pink Kitten Gabi, and Tinkerbell Kate.

Getting ready to trick-or-treat, Mom wonders if gummi bears will be made available to her... or, of course, to William. That's what she meant to say.
(btw: no Gummi bears were located, sadly).
Will has calmed down enough for a switch to more dashing/manly blue pacifier.

William is worn out after trick-or-treating...

But still helps Dad give away much of the 2000 (yes, that is right, two THOUSAND) pieces of candy given out by the Krausmoore household this Halloween. (Our street is a bit of a Halloween mecca...)
Hope everyone had as wonderful a Halloween as we did!! xoxox
