Mom and Will and The Train

Training for the Strong Man competition

On Sunday we went to Dexter Cleveringa's second birthday, a delightful soiree in the 70 degree sunshine up in Palo Alto.

Dad showed William how to ride on Dexter's super cool giant train set.  But riding is too easy for a super-athlete like William... he preferred to push the train around the track.  Brad, Dexter's Dad, thanked Will for charging the battery of the little train!

Trip to the Aquarium with Aunt G!

We used a different camera for this "photo shoot" and it seems to have turned everything pink! Must have been one of those rose-colored lenses...

We went to the Aquarium in Monterey with Aunt G a little while ago.  Super fun!  William enjoyed the interactive exhibits and watching the giant tuna and sharks swim by in the big tank.

Jack's birthday party

A couple of weekends ago, William was lucky enough to attend the second birthday party of his pal from swimming lessons, Jack!  It was held at My Gym, a VERY fun place for little guys who like to climb and play.  Some highlights below:

William gets to ride the Birthday Rocket!  Wow!  That was terrific!  Again, again!

Climbing on a play structure...

Some collaborative playtime with this, um, abacus.

Will sneaks onto the trampoline to join the birthday boy's jump festival!

Birthday boy was not thrilled at the addition to his trampoline... oops.  No babies were seriously injured however.

Getting ready to go, Will and Mom begin to slip into Cupcake Coma.  Will takes home a snazzy green balloon and a sweet goody bag - what fun!!
We are starting to think about Will's second birthday soiree - any suggestion?  We're thinking destination birthday celebration, Maui.

William and Wesley go to the Park

Today we met up with friends Wesley (21 months) and Jen (30something years) - and the unborn sibling of Wesley's that Jen's been toting around for about 7 months - for a little time in the park. This is the perfect park, at Santana Row, because (1) it is small and therefore Moms can sit down and watch their toddlers roam about without worrying about them getting too far away, and (2) it is within striking distance of a PinkBerry and Pizza Antica, not to mention Starbucks and Crate and Barrel.

Everyone had a great time! Well, we can't speak for the unborn sibling, but she did not seem to be complaining.
