William meets Grampa, his other great-grandfather

Last Thursday, William and Mom traveled to Houston, TX, to visit Grampa, William's other great-grandfather. The trip went amazingly well! Will had a great time getting to know Grampa and Mama Jane, and also his great Aunt Gaylen. He went out for meals and went to the Natural History Museum. Here we have photos of the introduction - a very happy moment for Grampa and Grumpy (Phoebe's Dad - will this nickname stick, we wonder?)

The Bob again? Really?? Woo hoo!

Elizabeth and Misha come to visit!

Elizabeth and Misha, dear LA friends, drove all the way up to meet William. Will was very gracious with his SoCal fan club.

Will and Elizabeth took to one another right away.

William convinced the kind couple to read him one of his favorite Golden Books, the Poky Little Puppy. Yay, puppy!

Thanks for the visit, Misha and Elizabeth! We can't wait to see you soon.

Time for a walk in the Bob!

Nudity!

William poses sans diaper for the camera. This is our most discreet shot.

William digs the chicks, and they dig him back. Sort of.

William spends some quality time with Gabi. He is enthusiastic; she, reserved.

Bumbo fun

William is proud to introduce...

...his first cousin, once removed, Owen Williams Church, born 11/20/07!

What a cutie. We have not seen enough photos, but here's a just-born glamour shot with his gorgeous mama, Phoebe's Aunt Minette. He had a bit of a tough time coming out but is healing beautifully and gets handsomer each day (can it even be possible?) More photos to come, and we bet Owen will have his OWN blog someday soon.

Welcome Owen!!

Bye Bella!

Last week, William and Mom said goodbye to Bella and Bella's parents, Brandi and Brett. Brandi was Mom's first pregnant pal - they met in prenatal yoga, and were fast friends from week 12 on. Bella was born just 2 days after William. Her family is now moving to Denver, where they are looking forward to a kinder, gentler housing market... we will miss them lots and lots!!

Will is proud to have such a lovely lady on his arm...

William consoles Bella - "It will be fun in Colorado, don't worry."

The friends hold hands.

Have fun in Colorado, guys! We look forward to your next visit.

The morning after

In the morning, after partying all night in Mom and Dad's bed in the Swifts' guestroom (Will doesn't need no stinkin' bassinet!), Will hangs with Rob and Mini.

A meeting of the minds with Mini, clearly.

Bonding.

Thanks, Rob and Mini, for the fabulous holiday celebration! William plans to come back often, especially when he is able to eat solid food.

William burps after his Thanksgiving dinner

We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner in Alameda with dear friends Rob and Mini and many other friends and relations. Turducken was served - this is a Cajun dish that involves a chicken stuffed in a duck stuffed in a turkey. It was delicious - far better than the first four letters of the word would lead one to believe.

William had milk.

Getting ready for a walk with Mom in the Ergo

Woo hoo! Walk!
