Napping in special striped hat

William is cozy in his new hat (gift from Nancy and Alex Ward) - so it is time for a snooze. It is nice being a baby sometimes.

One handsome baby

I realize that the "Isn't William cute?" line may be getting a bit old to those of you who are not William's mom. However, I am blown away by it on a regular basis. Isn't parenthood amazing?

Here's William hanging with Dad in his "spa baby" suit. Mom still trying to figure out how to work the fancy digital camera. Perhaps Uncle Toby will give a seminar at Christmas.

William and Dad enjoy a brewski and watch the Patriots

It is important to properly supervise infants when they are drinking beer. Dad steps up to the plate.

I love you, beer.

Whoops, maybe he had a bit too much.

Luckily, William wasn't driving.

Some older photos from weeks 13-15

So here are some older pics I had not yet had a chance to upload - enjoy!

On Dad's lap...

Modeling a beautifully knitted sweater, a piece of art by Penelope Cake, Will's great-aunt...

On a pumpkin-acquisition mission a few days before Halloween...

Everyone sits on Dad...

Everyone sits on Mom...

Dad models the new baby carrier...

Dad impersonates a pumpkin....

First time in the Bumbo chair (properly supervised of course)

William and pals

Will has a few baby pals. Here is friend Gabi, a serious young lady, daughter of Shannon and Bruce. Mom and Dad met Shannon and Bruce at Hypnobirthing class, and Gabi was born the day before William.

... somehow William wound up half naked in Gabi's crib last time he visited! Don't ask... it's a long story.

This is Noah, 3 weeks younger than Will, son of Mark's colleague Jessie and her husband Brian. Noah came over one night for a visit and had a great time...

... until the last 30 minutes of the visit, which unfortunately overlaped with Personal Fussy Time for both Noah and Will... loud! Mom, babysitting both, had her hands full.

This is Soren, who is the son of Sarah and Bob. He is William's best friend from the Midwest.
They had some stroller bonding when Mom Sarah came to visit Los Gatos.

Will is lucky to have such cool pals!

Goodbye lunch with Pop Pop

On Sunday, we gathered at Panera to say goodbye... it was so wonderful to see Pop Pop and to hang out together.

The trip home was better than the way out... Dad picked us up at the airport... and we are home again, safe and sound.

Pop Pop's 88th - Chapter 3, in which a cake is ON FIRE and no one but William seems concerned about that.

William was finally able to transcend his anxiety and assist in the blowing out of the candles. What a wonderful party! Happy, happy birthday Pop Pop!

Pop Pop's 88th - Chapter 2, Silly hats are worn

William was laughing at the silly hat people... until he, too, was prevailed upon to wear one. At which time he acquiesced with reasonably good humor.

Pop Pop's 88th - Chapter 1, Will charms the ladies

Pop Pop's 88th was celebrated at Tom and Sheila's riverside estate in Easton, PA - a perfect party house if Will has ever seen one.

Will made a beeline for his grand-dad's lady pals, Eloise, Petey, and Mrs. Cox.
