A toast to (sleeping) William

The Moores all convened to toast William, who slept soundly through the festivities...

Out of sequence - Jazz on the Plazz

Mom forgot to post these a while back - they are from August 25th. William and Mom attended an outdoor jazz concert in Los Gatos and were "discovered" by a professional photographer who felt Will was so handsome he needed to be photographed. What a genius that photographer is!!
So here he is, music aficionado William and his biggest fan, Mom.

Anyone see any resemblance to Herr Doctor Professor Grampa Moore?

Playing with Mom

Aunt Michal comes to visit!

Dad was on call over Labor Day weekend, and so Aunt Michal came to visit on her first Anina-free weekend retreat. She was a tremendous help and taught Mom some new baby calming techniques.

William was a bit ambivalent about the calming technique at first (see below), but soon fell into a calm slumber.

Will and Mom go visit the Big City

On 8/30, William and Mom drove up to San Francisco to see pals Kim and Jack. Jack, age 14 months, has a sign language vocabulary and made the sign for "baby" when he saw Will. He was very eager to hold the baby!!

Will was pretty blase about the visit, though he did say "hello" with a giant poo-splosion... oops.

We're wishing Kim the best on her psychology internship, which she has just started!

The Day William Got His Immunizations

On August 29, William got his first round of immunizations. This was hard on both Mom and Will! Will was very brave and only cried for a few seconds. Mom cried a little longer.

We were told that William might need to sleep for the rest of the day to recover. It turned out that he did - but he would only sleep on Mom or Dad! So Mom took to the bed and rested with William.

Sleepy babies can make the holder very sleepy also - some sort of contagion.

By the next day, William was doing great... and getting ready for the dread 6 week growth spurt (a week late - but hey, he was born 2 weeks early). More on this later.

It is hard to catch up on email when you are swaddled.

But Dad is available to transcribe.
